Introduction
We collaborated with Frau Gerolds Garten, one of Zurich’s most vibrant outdoor spaces, to bring a unique photo experience into a creative, urban environment.
The project involved designing a custom Snapbox installation that harmonized with the venue’s eclectic aesthetic — including a warm-toned booth exterior, location-specific photo frames, and subtle branding that blends seamlessly into the garden's atmosphere.
We focused on creating moments of connection, encouraging visitors to capture spontaneous memories with friends, family, and loved ones.
By aligning with the spirit of the space and its community-driven identity, Snapbox became more than a photo booth — it became part of the experience.
Within the first weeks, the booth attracted high foot traffic and strong engagement on social media, helping both Snapbox and Frau Gerolds Garten reach new, younger audiences and elevate their presence in Zurich’s creative scene.

Understanding the Space and Audience
We started by exploring the identity of Frau Gerolds Garten — a creative, community-focused space that blends art, design, and urban culture.
Through field visits and audience observation, we recognized the importance of creating a booth that felt naturally integrated into the environment while resonating with a younger, design-conscious audience.
We studied the aesthetic language of the venue, as well as how people interacted within the space, to craft an experience that felt spontaneous, emotional, and visually cohesive.
Brand Strategy
Our approach focused on making Snapbox feel like a natural part of the space — not just a booth, but a shared moment in the heart of Zurich.
We developed a warm, approachable tone of voice and created exclusive photo frame designs inspired by the garden’s textures, colors, and seasonal moods.
The booth exterior was customized to blend with its surroundings, featuring subtle details that echoed the visual rhythm of the venue.
This strategic integration positioned Snapbox as both a visual object and an emotional experience — encouraging visitors to engage, share, and return.

Implementation & Results
The Snapbox was installed in a high-traffic area of Frau Gerolds Garten, designed to invite curiosity while blending naturally into the space.
The booth featured custom frames exclusive to this location, and the soft lighting, tactile textures, and analog-inspired print experience created a nostalgic yet modern atmosphere.
Within days of installation, Snapbox became a popular spot for visitors to capture group photos and share their memories online.
Over the first month, user engagement on Instagram grew steadily, with hundreds of posts tagging Snapbox and Frau Gerolds Garten — many accompanied by personal stories and messages.
Not only did the installation boost visitor interaction within the space, but it also helped position Snapbox as a culturally relevant, design-forward brand in Zurich’s creative community.
